First Look
What’s the idea?
Write it the way you’d say it out loud. Your Coach will read it and tell you straight — in about a minute.
Free. No signup. No card.
See what it does first↓Why founders use it
It tells you what your friends won’t.
Your mates say “great idea.” Your partner says “go for it.” Nobody names the assumption that’s quietly going to cost you six months — because they can’t see it, or they don’t want to be the one who says it. Your Coach will. Kindly, specifically, and with the one thing to go and check before you spend a dollar.
For anyone with something real on the line — about to back a trade, a shop, a service or a first product, or already running one that’s gone quiet. If you can pressure-test it, you can find the next move.
See it on a real idea
Pick one. Read what comes back.
Three ordinary businesses, each with a blind spot a founder wouldn’t spot alone — or put your own idea in.
Idea: “A mobile coffee van for industrial estates. Workers can’t leave site at lunch and there’s nothing within walking distance.”
The Coach’s readsample output
You’ve named where the customer is but not who they are. “Workers on industrial estates” covers a cleaner on minimum wage and a site manager on salary — they buy very differently.
The assumption doing the most work here is that nothing within walking distance means people want coffee — rather than that they already bring their own.
Each one ends with a single thing to go and find out — a coach’s move, not a critic’s.
How it works
Idea first. Then the real work.
You bring a real idea. Your Coach reads it and writes back what’s clear and what isn’t. No account, no card.
Stage 1 is free. Nine questions about the customer, the problem and your assumptions — still no card.
You submit, it’s assessed. A score for every dimension with the reason written out, and the weakest one flagged to fix first.
Then you go and talk to a customer. Come back with what you learned. That’s the loop, seven stages, idea to launch-ready.
The part most tools skip
It shows its working.
Go further and nothing is a black box. Every part of your idea is scored out of five with the reasoning written out, and the lowest is flagged as the fastest place to gain ground. A worked example:
Illustrative dimensions and scores, to show the shape of the assessment.
What you walk away with
More than a pep talk.
First Look and Stage 1 are free. Stages 2–7 are optional — US$49/mo at the founding rate, which holds for as long as you stay subscribed. It won’t be open forever.
Why this exists
I built the coach I used to pay for.
I’ve built a few businesses — property, and a tech company before this one. What actually moved them forward was never a course or a clever hack. It was sitting across from someone sharp who’d ask the question I’d been dodging. For years that was a coach who cost me $550 an hour — and most founders never get near one.
When my tech company stalled, that’s what got it moving again: not more hustle, but someone pressure-testing the idea until the real problem showed itself. Founder Launch Studio is that coach — the hard questions, the honesty, the nudge to go and find out — for the price of showing up.
So — what’s the idea?
You’ve seen what comes back. One sentence is plenty.
