Privacy Policy
Effective date: 20 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Focas Property (ABN 83 631 458 761) (“Focas Property”, “we”, “us”), which operates Founder Launch Studio (“FLS”), collects, uses, stores and discloses your personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
By creating an account or using the Service, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address and password (passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider; we never see them in plain text).
- Onboarding and profile information — your responses about your venture, experience and the way you work, used to build your Founder Operating Profile.
- Submissions — the venture briefs and assignments you submit for feedback.
- Idea Vault — ideas you park in your Idea Vault, any notes you add, and the quick “Ask Coach” takes you request on them.
- Feedback and progress — the scores, feedback and progress records generated as you use the Service.
- Technical information — basic data needed to operate the Service securely, such as session and authentication data.
2. How we use your information
3. AI processing of your submissions
A core feature of FLS is AI-generated feedback. When you submit an assignment, the content of that submission and relevant profile context is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate your feedback. The same applies to the free “First Look” tool on our homepage and to the Idea Vault’s “Ask Coach” feature: the idea text you enter is sent to Anthropic to generate your reflection. Under Anthropic’s current commercial terms, the content we send through its API is not used to train Anthropic’s models. The feedback, reflections and scores are AI-generated for learning and are not professional, legal, financial or other regulated advice, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome (see our Terms of Service).
We may also create aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you — for example, anonymous First Look ideas and overall usage, funnel and conversion statistics. Because it does not identify you, this information is not personal information, and we may use and keep it for research, analytics, improving the Service and other business purposes without restriction.
First Look can be used before you create an account. We keep the idea you enter — without your name or account attached — to understand which kinds of ventures people are exploring and to improve the Service. First Look entries are stored without your name or account attached. We do not link them to member accounts, and we do not attempt to re-identify the people who wrote them. Please avoid including sensitive personal information, or confidential third-party information, where it is not necessary for feedback.
4. Service providers (sub-processors)
We use trusted third-party providers to run the Service. These may process your information on our behalf:
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Anthropic — AI processing of submissions to generate feedback.
- Resend — sending service and confirmation emails.
- Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and merchant of record for paid subscriptions (handles checkout, billing and sales tax).
Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia (including in the United States). We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers with appropriate data-protection practices. Because operating the Service necessarily involves these overseas providers, by using the Service you consent to your personal information being disclosed to them overseas. Where you give this consent, Australian Privacy Principle 8.1 will not apply to that disclosure, and to the extent permitted by law we will not be accountable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) for how an overseas recipient handles your information (although we choose providers we consider reputable).
5. Disclosure and access to your ideas
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only to the service providers above to operate the Service, or where required or permitted by law.
We do not read the content of your submissions or Idea Vault ideas. Our administrative tools are deliberately built to show us that you’re making progress and where you’re getting stuck — never what you’re building. Your ideas are yours.
